Stefanny Rojas, a member of the Child Nutrition Services team at Old Union Elementary, recently shared that she has been diagnosed with CREST syndrome, a form of systemic sclerosis.
In her words:
“I was diagnosed with systemic sclerosis, which is an autoimmune disease. It causes an excess of collagen that damages tissues, and internally it affects several organs such as the heart, lungs, kidneys, and the musculoskeletal system. It is a very limiting disease that causes a great deal of pain and inflammation.”
As Stefanny manages the challenges of this condition, our Dragon community is coming together to offer support and encouragement. Any kindness shown her way—whether through messages, gestures, or simply keeping her in your thoughts—means a great deal during this time.
