Meet the Dragons Care Team

Dragons Care is run by a team of Carroll ISD parent and staff volunteers who are dedicated to supporting the teachers and staff who empower our children to achieve excellence in all that they do.

Founder & President, Board Chair 

Virginia began this initiative in 2020 alongside 10 other parents. She is married to her husband Roth and they have two children, Audrey and Charlotte, who are both Dragons at CISD. She has lived in Southlake, TX for 14 years. Prior to moving to Southlake, she worked for Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity in Development, Marketing & Volunteer Coordination. She is heavily involved in the Southlake community -- volunteering for the PTO, CISD Strategic Planning, Carroll Leadership for Supporting Success and CISD Communications Action Team. She has been a community volunteer for multiple city-wide events.

Treasurer, Board Member

Justin and his wife, Abby, have 4 children, Lane, Marley, Bode, and Briggs. Three of them are currently Dragons and Briggs, the youngest, can’t wait to be a Dragon.  Justin is a CPA and has held various roles throughout his career focused on Accounting and Finance activities within the Corporate world. In his spare time he likes to experiment with BBQ and travel with his family as much as possible. As the son of two educators, Dragons Care has a special place in his heart as it provide him an opportunity to serve and give back to those which helped shape him into who he is today.

Vice President of Marketing 

Lauren is a long-time local parent of two Dragons, Alexis & Hunter, with her husband Joe. She is originally from Phoenix, but moved to the area in 1991.  Lauren is the VP of Marketing and Human Relations for Zinfinity, LLC.  She loves to golf, travel and organize social events.  Lauren has been volunteering around town for the last 20 years with Greater Southlake Women’s Society, Greater Keller Women's Club and Metroport Meals on Wheels.  She is happiest when event planning and bringing people together.

Vice President of Operations

Tina is married to Stephen Wilkins. They have 3 daughters, Lillian, Adeline and Emily. They have lived in Southlake for 8 years and love being Dragons! 

Tina has a Masters degree in Marine Resources Management. Formally a marine biologist, this mother of three stays busy raising her three daughters and volunteering in the community.

 

Tina’s passion for serving her community is evident by her leadership in the Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPs) organization as the Coordinator for a year and a group leader for 4 years. She also serves as a mentor to many mothers in the community. Furthermore, she consistently volunteers at her older daughters’ school, Walnut Grove Elementary, as well as her youngest daughter’s Mother Day Out Program.

Senior Advisor, Board Member

John and his wife, Misheal, have three children, Claire, Katherine (Kiki), and John Charles (JC), who are all Dragons at CISD. John is a finance and investment executive, with a specialty in healthcare and real estate. He has been on the board or management team of multiple private and public companies across a number of industries, including forming and managing multiple non-profit organizations. John is also the Treasurer of CISD’s AP Boosters organization. In his spare time, he loves to coach Dragon Youth Baseball and Football, in addition to being a Cheer and Volleyball dad.

Secretary, Board Member

Vamsi Alla, a Technology Executive by profession, is a resident of Southlake since 2017. He is a proud father of an 8th grade Dragon in the Carroll ISD school district. He likes to give back to the community by volunteering his time and serving on city/school committees including the finance committee for Carroll ISD. In addition, he has also been very involved in volunteering with the Southlake Foundation.

Vice President of Technology

Kavya moved to Southlake from Hawaii in 2016 with her husband and daughter, Smriti. Since then, she has maintained an active role in the school and community.  Kavya has a Masters degree in Engineering Management. Kavya has volunteered for the Walnut Grove PTO and Durham PTO and has made drastic improvements to both websites. She enjoys crafting and volunteering.

Social Media Coordinator & Content Creator

Neda Khalilian

Neda, her husband John and their 3 children, Neaka (25), Kian (23) and Ellie (13) have lived in Southlake for 19 years and have been active Dragons throughout the community. Neda has volunteered extensively  within CISD throughout the years and has loved being a part of the Dragon Community. Neda is a digital marketing executive and volunteers in different capacities for CISD and the City of Southlake in addition to the National Charity League of Southlake. She's the happiest when all her children are in one place together, playing pickleball and reading when there is time.
