There are so many ways that you can get involved with Dragons Care! You can be on our Board of Directors, Executive Team, be a parent liaison for a campus / department or advocate for the mission throughout our community! You can also sign up to be a general volunteer. There are times when we need help at community events representing Dragons Care and we would love for you to join us! We will train you and give you all of the tools necessary to be a great Dragons Care representative.

Our Board of Directors is a small group of individuals that have three primary legal duties known as the “duty of care,” “duty of loyalty,” and “duty of obedience.” To summarize these duties, the Board of Directors ensures all assets are used prudently, all decisions are made in the best interest of Dragons Care and help it move closer to its mission, and Dragons Care abides by all laws, regulations and bylaws. The Board of Directors for Dragons Care will make all decisions when it comes to approving grants to support the staff and they meet often.

Members of our Executive Team are chosen based not only on their experience pertaining to their particular role, but on their past involvement with the organization. They meet regularly (once per month on average) and perform ALL of the jobs necessary to run this organization. They take the mission and vision of Dragons Care and do the work that needs to be done in order to operate, fundraise, communicate, etc.

Each parent liaison at our 14 different locations represent Dragons Care not only to the staff that they serve, but to the community. They work with the staff directly and have the honor of delivering the grants and forming strong relationships with those that we are serving. As parent liaisons change schools, etc, we will have positions open up, so if you are interested, please let us know.

If you volunteer as a Board Member, Executive Team member or parent liaison with Dragons Care you will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Since we are speaking with staff about sensitive subject matters, it is of the utmost importance to our organization that we protect the privacy of the CISD staff.

Lastly, as leadership positions become available, we will notify the community through our newsletter and social media outlets. So please make sure that you are subscribing to our newsletter and following us online through facebook, instagram and twitter! If you do not have time to volunteer with us, you can ALWAYS advocate!
