Note from President
Dear Dragons Care family,
I truly do not know how to adequately express my gratitude and appreciation to this amazing community of volunteers, staff members, and small businesses that all came together to make the Pink Out Tailgate & Auction such a success this year. We had over 400 people in attendance at this year’s tailgate, spanning the whole left-hand side of Touchdown Alley, and we covered it in PINK! Our main goals for this annual event are to bring the community together, educate people about Dragons Care, and raise awareness for breast cancer. We walked alongside several women on our staff who battled, and some who are still battling, breast cancer and it was an honor to help tell their stories. I am so grateful to our staff at CISD for featuring their testimonies on the jumbotron at the football game to encourage others to get regular screenings and inform people in the Dragon community about our organization.
ALL of you—whether you have given your time through volunteering, your treasure through donations, or your advocacy by helping us spread the word—are a part of what we are doing as a Dragons Care community. I am privileged to see the generosity and love of this community giving back to the wonderful staff of Carroll ISD on a DAILY basis. It is truly a beautiful thing to witness.
During my recent visits to the campuses, I have had the opportunity to educate the staff about Dragons Care and spend meaningful time with them. I can tell you firsthand that sitting alongside them has given me an even greater appreciation for what our staff does for our children that we may never even witness. The training and the work that goes on behind the scenes to prepare for our students is remarkable, and I am honored to be volunteering alongside all of you in this mission to give back to those who are constantly giving of themselves to others.
Thank you ALL for your commitment to this organization and for your generosity. What we are doing is making a HUGE difference in the lives of others, and we are doing it all together... right here... in our community.
Please be sure to look over our current staff needs listed below and click on the video below to view our incredible warriors who were featured at the Pink Out varsity football game.
Sincerest appreciation,

CURRENT STAFF NEEDS
Carroll ISD Staff Share Their Breast Cancer Testimonies
Carroll ISD staff shared their courageous journey as they and their families battled breast cancer. Dragons Care was proud to provide whatever support it could to these brave women during their time of need. Filmed by the Dragons Care team, these brave individuals opened up about their journeys, the challenges they faced, and the vital importance of community support.
This powerful video was also featured on the jumbotron at the Pink Out varsity football game, reminding everyone of the significance of regular screenings and early detection—because early detection can save lives.
Let’s stand together and spread awareness!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! This amazing community continues to show up and make a difference for CISD staff through Dragons Care. Please know that your advocacy, donations and time have made a huge difference in allowing us to help as many people as possible and Dragons Care could not do any of this without your assistance.
We are also so grateful to the sponsors and others who have set-up matching donations through their businesses. It has made a difference this quarter and we very much appreciate it.
Dragons Care remains committed to transparency and we want you to stay informed about how your donations have made an impact. As a result, her is our quarterly report so that you can see the difference you have made for CISD staff.
Please continue to keep us in mind as the holiday season kicks into high gear. Dragons Care will continue to be there for all CISD staff. Please also continue to support and nominate your colleagues and friends in need so that we can help continue to provide them with the support of this community.
Thank you for being an essential part of our mission!
