Note from the President
WOW! What an exciting and busy month for Dragons Care! Most importantly, by the end of this week we will have visited 10 of the 11 campus staff-wide meetings to create face-to face relationships with ALL staff members. We have been explaining the mission of Dragons Care and equipping them with the tools to request grants for their colleagues in need of assistance. This time of connection has been so fulfilling in having that interaction with the people who help our children learn every day and further encourages us to work even harder towards our mission.Â
As a small gesture of appreciation and way to reach ALL staff members as well, we assembled and delivered 1,200 valentines throughout the district. We had a massive amount of help from our friends at Origin Bank who volunteered their time to work with our team and assemble ALL of the valentines - it's so true when they say many hands make light work and we loved spending time with them! Our executive team and parent liaison volunteers delivered the valentines throughout the entire school district! They had a QR code, which sent the staff directly to the "Info for Staff" webpage showing them how to utilize Dragons Care. This print out had double sided tape, so that they could stick it to their computers or somewhere in their office if/when the time arises and they need quick access to the website link. All lollipops were donated by a member of our executive team and all printed copies and double-sided tape were donated by a local church; sticking with our theme of not spending our donated funds on "things", but rather the people we serve.Â
Speaking of the people we serve, we have several specific needs, opportunities to become sponsors (so that we can reach our goal of increasing our minimum funds provided to the staff in need), AND executive team positions available.
If you are not already following us on facebook/instagram/X, please do so as needs arrive in-between these monthly newsletters. You can click on the links above and it will take you directly to the pages to join the groups.Â
Alone we cannot accomplish much, but together, as a Dragons Care family, we can help our staff here at Carroll ISD in ways that we never thought possible before.Â
Sending you and your family love during this season,
Virginia Hinkle
President of Dragons Care
THANK YOU DRAGONS CARE FAMILY!

It's because of ALL of you that we were voted as one of the finalists for the Southlake Style Readers Choice Award. We are so honored and humbled to be placed alongside such incredible non-profits in our area and we are grateful for your support!Â
As you know, we have chosen not to have an advertising budget, so that those funds can go directly to those who need it most, so we are truly grateful for your help in spreading the word about Dragons Care.Â
As we await the announcement of the winner of all of the categories of this annual readers choice award, we just want to say thank you to everyone that supports Dragons Care - whether you donate, volunteer, or go online every day to vote for us and advocate - we appreciate YOU!
Join the Movement: Dragons Care Seeks Sponsors to #SupportTheStaff

Dragons Care is growing at a rapid rate and we need individuals, businesses and foundations to come alongside us and sponsor the work we are all doing together to #SupportTheStaff when they need us most. Dragons Care's fundraising structure is a hybrid of both needs-based and sponsorship-level based. Which means that we raise money in two ways. Individuals can given directly to each fundraiser so that their donations go towards a specific staff member OR they can give as an event or title sponsor, which helps cut costs, increase minimum funds received to recipients and give to staff members needs that may not be fulfilled during a given fundraiser. For a very detailed outline of the differences, please visit our website here.
There are many benefits to being an event and/or title sponsor. For example, below is a graphic of the complete benefits that come with being a title sponsor for Dragons Care. If you would like more information about becoming an event and/or title sponsor, please read through our sponsor packet and email Virginia Hinkle.
Join Dragons Care at Starpower -Â February 29th, 6-8 pm!
