Ribbon Cutting, Homecoming & Sponsorship Opportunities

Note from the President

We've had some exciting developments at Dragons Care since our last monthly newsletter. Our community is coming together to support our staff when they need it most, and we are incredibly appreciative! If you follow us on our social media channels, you've seen that we've been posting the needs of our staff as they arise. We encourage you to take a look at the current needs of the staff listed below and consider contributing to their fundraising campaigns if you're able to.

Our Southlake community showed tremendous support for our Carroll ISD staff at last week's Dragons Care Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony. We extend our gratitude to every person who attended, those who wanted to be there and sent congratulatory notes, our sponsors, student volunteers (DJ, photographers, Belles, Key Club Members), and most importantly, the outstanding team of parent volunteers I have the privilege of working alongside. We were also deeply honored to receive a Certificate of Congressional Recognition for Service to our Community from Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne during the ceremony.

This week, we'll be spreading the word about Dragons Care to Dragon Nation at the Homecoming Parade and Carnival. You can find our booth just outside Town Hall, across from Starbucks, so please drop by and say hello!

Last but certainly not least, we've been diligently working all summer on a Sponsorship Packet for individuals, foundations, and businesses interested in partnering with Dragons Care. If you're interested in becoming an official sponsor for Dragons Care in 2023/2024, please click here to explore the available opportunities.

We are immensely grateful for each and every one of you, and we hope this newsletter proves helpful and informative.

Thank you for #GettingLoudWithLove,

Virginia Hinkle

Dragons Care Honored with Congressional Recognition at Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

In a heartwarming celebration of community, compassion, and dedication, Dragons Care was honored and received a Certificate of Recognition. This prestigious recognition was presented to the Executive Board members by Nicolette Pianelli from the Office of Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne during the ribbon cutting celebration on September 12th in Southlake Town Square. This milestone was highlighted by the attendance of City Council members and Carroll ISD school board members, principals, teachers, administration members and Superintendent Dr. Lane Ledbetter along with numerous volunteer members, and supporters of Dragons Care.

Dragons Care Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Brings the Community Together!

On September 12th, our community came together in a remarkable display of unity and support at the Dragons Care ribbon cutting ceremony in Town Square. It was a day filled with warmth, positivity, and the promise of a wonderful year ahead for our non-profit organization.

We extend our gratitude to the community leaders, volunteers, dedicated Carroll ISD staff, and every community member who joined us in this celebration. Your presence transformed the event into a truly memorable occasion. Your support is the driving force behind Dragons Care's mission to assist the teachers, staff, and School Resource Officers of Carroll ISD during their times of need.

The fantastic turnout we witnessed at the ribbon cutting ceremony fills us with excitement for the journey ahead. It's a clear demonstration of our community's commitment to giving back and caring for one another.

As we embark on this new year of giving, let us carry the spirit of togetherness and compassion with us. Your support is the foundation upon which Dragons Care stands, and we are honored to have you by our side as we continue our mission. Thank you for celebrating with us!

A huge thank you goes out to our local businesses that stepped up to support Dragons Care by sponsoring our ribbon cutting celebration. Because of them, we were able to organize and have the event with minimal expenses. Their support made our ribbon cutting celebration an incredible success, and we couldn't have done it without them. Their commitment to our cause and their willingness to stand by Dragons Care means the world to us.

We would also like to thank our student volunteers from Carroll High School Key Club for helping at the kids' activities table and to our student photographers, Morgan Brown, Sophia Desjardins and Varenya Bandaru.
